The Dropbox app is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. In addition to that, it is also available for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets like Android, iPhone and iPad.
After the installation, it creates a computer folder. Everything you put in that folder will be synchronized with your account and other computers and devices that support Dropbox.
So, if you copy or edit an existing file or archive in your Dropbox folder, it will be sent to your online space and synchronized with other computers and devices that use Dropbox.
That way you will always keep an updated copy of your files in every computer you work on and won’t need to send it as an e-mail attachment for your own self or put it on a flash drive.
Not to mention that, you can always have access to your files even if you don’t have Dropbox installed in your computer by entering the Dropbox website.
Dropbox also allows you to share files easily. You can share your photo albums folder and other archives, just by uploading what you want to share on Dropbox and inviting people to see.
