How to share files online with Takeafile

Posted By: Fernando - June 22, 2016
Most e-mail services limit their maximum file size attachment to 25 MB. This means, if you need to send a more than 25 MB file size archive to someone, you will need a second option like Takefile to perform this action, an online service that offers an easy way to share any file size via e-mail.

Takeafile

Although it is possible to share files using storage cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer and many others available nowadays, with Takeafile you don’t need to send the file to a server.

Different from the above mentioned services, on Takeafile the archives or files are shared directly between users using WebRTC technology, allowing them to get connected without needing a server to intermediate them.

To get started, access the Takeafile website on Google Chrome or Firefox, drag and drop the file you want to share inside Takeafile and wait till it creates a “share link”.

Share the link with the person you want to send the file to and ask him to open the link in a browser in order to download the file. Note that both the users must keep the browsers opened till the transference is concluded.
